| About The Artist |
 |
Ric Epley didn’t set out to be an artist. Instead, he was pleasantly surprised when art unexpectedly found him. Although completely without formal training, friends and family urged him to market his work and he very quickly found an audience of patrons. By using a variety of application methods, he has developed three basic styles represented here; geometric, multimedia geometric with texture and a free flow type. He paints because he loves the process of it and has been very prolific since inception.
BLUES, ART and LIQUOR!
Tuesday, February 28, 2012 Lamasco Bar and Grill 6:00 pm until 11:30 pm
Abstract artist Ric Epley is showing an incredible series of representational liquor themed art with his own coordinating photography that is conceptually unique.
There are 5 paintings in the series, entitled "Vodka", "Whiskey", "Tequila", "Gin" and "Rum".
Of course, it wouldn't be Lamasco if there wasn't a special drink to go with each piece!
We will have the amazing blues of THE BOSCOE FRANCE BAND and hopefully some surprise guests for the evening as well!
The wonderful folks at the RIVER BASIN BLUES SOCIETY (https://www.facebook.com/groups/157866497596246/. )are also sponsoring the nights events!! Please be sure to check them out on Facebook, join the group, and help to spread the love of blues throughout our community!!
Mark your calendars now...because this is going to be another amazing night!! :-)
Ric Epley works are hanging in residences and businesses in Europe and North America. He was also selected for a print collection in the Indianapolis Westin Hotel.
Ric grew up in Indiana, and then moved to Europe for several years working as a fashion model throughout the '80s and back in the States in the '90s. He resides in Indiana to be close to his children and calls his position as president of Fusion, LLC, a nationally known multimedia company he founded in 1999 (www.fusionnewmedia.com), his day job.
Gustav Klimt, the celebrated creator of the dazzling gold sensual masterpiece titled The Kiss, once said “Whoever wants to know something about me…ought to look carefully at my pictures and try and see in them what I am and what I want to do.” To see what contemporary artist Epley sees, look, tilt your head, and ponder. Most importantly, please enjoy.
